The primary responsibility of Lincoln's Instructional Support Coach is to enhance teacher capacity and student learning by strengthening instructionthrough on-site, responsive, and meaningful professional learning. This goal is accomplished in variety of ways including:


  • Participating in collaborative inquiry with teachers through modeling, co-teaching, co-planning, data analysis to inform instructional decision making, and reflection of professional practice
  • Facilitating learning opportunities among educators and within one another's classrooms to foster teaching excellence
  • Encouraging risk taking to accelerate teacher and student learning
  • Continuously learning and sharing research based instructional strategies  
  • Identifying, designing, and facilitating professional learning for staff development
  • Assisting staff in educating parents about shifts in curricula and instruction
  • Serving as an integral member of the Building Leadership School Improvement Team
