Fifth Grade

Being the oldest students we have earned the role of Lincoln leaders! With the support and encouragement of our teacher, Laura McConkey, our opportunities are endless. As scientists this year, we will explore electricity and build a circuit board. With our new Project Lead the Way curriculum, we will explore the transmission of infection and run an experiment to help find ways to prevent the spread of illness. In our last unit, we will explore the ways robots are used in today’s world and then design a mobile robot that can remove hazardous materials from a disaster site.

In social studies, we will travel back to the explorers who established the roots of our country.
